Completed a full renovation on this 1941 house, modernizing and opening the floor plan while respecting the home's original features. The unfinished basement/garage had stone walls built from locally sourced stone. We lowered the subgrade and finished it with heated concrete floors. We also added 200 square feet in the attic, creating a kids' loft with a custom retractable ladder.  After the renovation, we subdivided the property, and designed and built a home for good friends. It was a cross-generational project; we designed and built a home in Black Mountain for their parents 20 years earlier.
